10 years ago, members of the Port Townsend Peace Movement surrounded the freshly mowed
peace sign  at the corner of San Juan and Discovery. Neighbors of all ages and faiths gathered to plant flowers,
promote goodwill and participate in the annual Peace Portrait.

On July 1st, 2018, Port Townsend Preservation Alliance welcomed all to commemorate that spirit of peace and unity.
The peace sign was mowed and the field prepared to receive the community.
The event provided collaborative photographic art projects, historical documentation and community themed storytelling.
